1 6” Whole Wheat Pita Breads

2 tbsp of olive oil or oil from jar of sun-dried tomatoes

1 tsp Italian Seasoning

1/2 tsp garlic salt

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Cut pita bread in half, open up the pocket and slit into two.

  3. Place the rough side down (interior of pita pocket) and brush the smooth side with oil. (This would be the outside of the pita pocket.) Flip over and repeat.

  4. Sprinkle the rough side with Italian seasoning and garlic salt.

  5. Cut each semi circle into 4 triangles.

  6. Layout triangles, seasoned side up, on a baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 9-10 minutes. Watch carefully as they will go from crisp to burnt quickly.

  8. Let cool for a few minutes then wrap in a clean napkin or towel, place in bowl and serve.
